03/01/2010 Arrests made in Hwy 35 Huckaby's Burglary |

Date: March 1, 2010 Huckaby's Groceries on Hwy 35 was burglarized on 2-19-10. The suspects smashed in the front glass door with a piece of firewood to make entry. Three suspects made entry while three others waited in the get-away car. Once inside the store they removed the cash register and cigarettes. The total loss was approximately $5,700.00. The crime was caught on the stores security video. Saline county detectives have taken five suspects into custody. The sixth suspect, a female who has been identified, will be arrested as soon as she is located. The five subjects in custody are also suspects in a store burglary in Grant County. During interviews of the suspects they admitted to having plans to burglarize five stores for money and cigarettes. The following suspects have been arrested and are charged with Commercial Burglary, a class C felony.
