On Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at 7:25 am, Saline County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Westlake Drive and Sanders Ford Road, near Lake Norrell, for the possible death of two individuals.

Lake Norrell Fire Department personnel, Salem Fire Department personnel and the Saline County Sheriff’s Office deputies found two unresponsive victims inside of a vehicle.  Both victims were declared deceased by the Saline County Coroner.

Criminal Investigation Division (CID) detectives responded to the scene.  The driver was identified as Lonnie Moore, white/male, 38 years of age, from the 7900 block of Samples Road, Salem.  The passenger was an eight year old male, and has been identified as the son of Lonnie Moore.  It is the policy of the Saline County Sheriff’s Office not to release the names of juveniles.

Although the investigation is ongoing, at this time there does not appear to be any signs of foul play.
