On October 22, 2013 at 0745 hours, Detention Officer Jack Campbell was in one of the pods removing meal trays, when detainee Brandon Johnson asked for the time.  When Officer Campbell told him he had fifteen more minutes Johnson began slamming the phone receiver repeatedly.  Officer Campbell told Johnson to go to his cell; Johnson refused, took off his shirt, and took an aggressive stance toward Officer Campbell.  Johnson began to advance toward Officer Campbell at which time a struggle began.  Officer Campbell stated he felt himself being struck several times during the altercation.  Other Detention Officers arrived and helped place Johnson into restraints. 

Brandon Johnson will be charged with Battery 2^nd Degree

Any suspects listed are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
