Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Drug Arrest
On January 21, 2016, a vehicle was stopped on I-30 near Sevier Street by a Saline County Sheriff’s Office deputy for having expired tags. The driver was identified as Donald BALL of Benton, Arkansas. Prior to the vehicle being towed, a search revealed a significant amount suspected crystal methamphetamine (ice). Located in the backseat of the vehicle was a 9 year old child.
BALL was arrested and charged with felony counts of possession of a controlled substance as well as endangering the welfare of a miner.
BALL was released on a $15,000 Signature Bond and ordered to appear in court on March 1, 2016.
BALL was subsequently arrested for Violation of Probation on January 27, 2016 and released the following morning.
