12/23/2015 SCSO BRINGS CHRISTMAS JOY TO FAMILY IN NEED |
||||||||||||||||||||
With a little Christmas magic, two Saline County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) cars were temporarily turned into Santa’s Sleigh this morning. Several hundred dollars’ worth of toys, clothes and food were delivered to a Saline County family in need. During a heavy thunderstorm, Chief Deputy Jay Fitzpatrick and Lieutenant Jeffrey Silk personally delivered the presents to the family. When they first arrived, none of the children were smiling. When they opened their vehicles and began handing out the presents, all of the children had beaming smiles! Police Chaplain Tamra Gore was instrumental in organizing this event. She worked very closely with the staff from CoorsTek in Bryant who purchased all of the gifts. Sheriff Rodney Wright wishes this family, and every family in Saline County, a very merry Christmas and safe 2016.
